Dr. Brittany Capstick graduated with honors from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. She completed her internship training at the Salt Lake City VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City, UT; Pediatric Strabismus Referral Center, Pacific University College of Optometry in Portland, OR; Surgical co-management at Spivack Vision Center in Denver, CO; and primary eye care at Alaska EyeCare Centers in Anchorage, AK. She completed a residency in Cornea/Contact Lens and Ocular Disease at UC Berkeley School of Optometry in Berkeley, CA.
After completing her Residency training in 2012, Dr. Capstick began her career in Sandy, UT, and has continued caring for patients in the Salt Lake area ever since. Dr. Capstick strives to provide the most advanced care possible through the use of new technology and training. She loves the opportunity to work with patients to find the best options available for each person as an individual.
She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Optometry and a member of the American Optometric Association and the Utah Optometric Association. Dr. Capstick served as a trustee on the Utah Optometric Association Board of Directors from 2013-2015 and received the Utah Young Optometrist of the Year Award in 2015.
When not caring for patients, you can find Dr. Capstick enjoying the outdoors with her husband, Jarrett, and their two girls, Emery and Mara. As a family, some of their favorite activities include skiing, biking, hiking, and camping.
