Dr. Ambati is moving his laboratory to the University of Oregon!
In addition to clinical practice here in Eugene, Dr. Ambati has had an NIH-funded laboratory for 14 years, which is focused on developing new drugs for macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
Since joining PCVI in 2016, Dr. Ambati has had to commute out of state monthly to manage his lab, but fortunately, with the opening of the Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact at U of O, Dr. Ambati will be able to move his research team to Eugene! There will be no change in Dr. Ambati’s practice, as his appointment as Research Professor at UO will not affect his time or role at PCVI.
