At Pacific Clearvision Institute in Eugene, Dr. Albert Edwards and Dr. Allan Hunter of Oregon Retina lead a team of compassionate and skilled eye care professionals, who provide treatment to patients with retinal problems, uveitis, and ocular tumors. This qualified team consists of certified ophthalmic technicians, retinal photographers, ultrasonographers, and patient and research coordinators, who use the latest technologies to provide patient-centered care.

Albert Edwards, MD

Albert Edwards, MD of Oregon RetinaAlbert O. Edwards, MD, PhD is a board certified ophthalmologist who has been practicing for over 20 years. The quality of care provided by Dr. Edwards is recognized by other doctors and he is listed in Best Doctors in America, Who's Who in America in Medicine and Healthcare, and the Guide to America's Top Ophthalmologists.

Dr. Edwards has many published scientific manuscripts and continues to lecture and teach. He is currently an affiliate associate professor at the Oregon Health Sciences University and the University of Oregon. Before moving to Eugene in 2009, Dr. Edwards was a faculty member at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

Dr. Edwards enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He enjoys fitness training and a variety of outdoor activities.

Allan A. Hunter, MD

Allan A. Hunter, MD of Oregon Retina Allan A. Hunter, M.D., a board certified ophthalmologist, received his undergraduate degree from The Johns Hopkins University and stayed in Baltimore for medical school and residency. Afterwards, he completed his medical retinal fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.

During this time, he was awarded the prestigious "K Award" studying age-related macular degeneration. Dr. Hunter then moved to California to complete the acclaimed vitreo-retinal surgical fellowship at the University of California, Davis.

A retinal expert, Dr. Hunter is an award-winning presenter and a highly published author in multiple ophthalmic journals. He has also served as principal investigator on numerous clinical research projects.

Dr. Hunter enjoys running, hiking, biking and skiing with his wife and four children in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Dr. Hunter's scientific and medical publications can be seen on Google Scholar.
